The notification bar blinked again. For the fifth time now. She chose not to notice again. Her heart was still racing and her hand itching to pick up the phone, as her eyes scanned the room full of guests, her mom is looking at her from the corner of the room.

With a big smile plastered across her face, she started to play the piano as requested by a few guests. The room fell into silence, few wows and a few tapping of feet were heard apart from the beautiful melody. She screened the room to see her mom smiling at her, her dad still in conversation with his partner and again the phone beeped. Her smile started to fade, her heart raced as she played the final piece.

As she ended the room broke into echoing claps, she smiled and excused herself quickly grasping her phone and flew to the balcony. Her hand frantically pressed the key pad to open the lock screen. There were 10 messages and four calls from his number and an unknown number. The first few messages are of excitement of returning home, she smiled, then the tone of the messages changes. "Somethings wrong, I will call you in a minute" was the last message. She lost her color. She started dialing his number...in her mind, "What could go wrong?" was on replay mode.

His number was unreachable, and the unknown number was busy. She started pacing up and down when she received a call from the unknown number. She picked up nervously.

"Hello...yes... speaking...Are you sure?...Outside my door? But why! Please tell me nothing has happened to him!...Wait! Am coming..."

She ran through the room, pushed through a few guests on the way with tears in her eyes. She opened the door and stood still. A few guests peeped out, her parents had made their way to the door and have lost their smile.

A drop of tear escaped her left eye, she rushed into their arms. The two loves of her life, her beloved elder bro and his best friend; her beloved.

"Welcome home! You ruined my surprise party for you with your stupid prank! I hate you two! You nearly gave me a heart attack!"

"Haha...We hate you too!" they said in union as they picked her up and giggled their way into the house.
