What I wished happened (an imaginary love story)

Everyday people do their business on repeat. I am no exception. I wake up, go to school, get home, study, eat and finally; go to sleep. During those days Im longing for the days off, the days when I'm free to do what I want to do. If you do the math, you've only got about 2 of 7 days in each week (vacations included) to be free to do whatever you want. By the time you're at the peek of your life (16-18 years old), youve only got about 312 days to be free and enjoy life. Every week, you're wasting 5 days of your life waiting on those 2 days. And so, to make something worthy of those 5 'waiting days', we look for something worth our while. We look for something exciting, something to keep us entertained. We try to look for that in ourselves, but often fail to. And so we look for that in other people. This, I think, is a big reason for us to try to fall in love.

There are two types of people in the world; people who do things and people who wish things would happen. I hate to admitt I'm a person who whishes things happen. Just like everyone, I want to be entertained, I want to have those 7 exciting days instead of just the 2. Unfortunately, I'm not a thinker, I'm a wisher. And so, I've never been in love with anyone. I've been in love with the idea of being in love, but I've never actually been in love. Thus I'm going to tell you an imaginary love story. However, it is what actually happened, -and what didn't-.

It was october, school had just started for about a month. For the girl, Victoria, it was her Junior year of highschool. Everything was fine; her grades were well, she had a fine job, she had a right amount of friends, it was fine. Yet, she still had 5 boring days in a 7-day week. The moment she realised this, she started looking for someone. She started noticing that the guy she secretly had a crush on a few years ago, was in her classes again. She started noticing that he had a cute smile, that he was actually pretty good at sports, that he was smart and above all, that he was nice. During class, when it would get boring (which would be often), she would find that he was fun to look at. Then, she started noticing that he also had a cute way of listening as the teacer would explain things and thah he had a cute way of writing things down. At this point, she was embarrassed to start liking a guy, without really ever talking to him and thus without really knowing him. And so, she forced herself to stop looking, to stop paying attention to him. This ofocurse only lasted for so long, because man was he cute! And so, she figured that if she couldnt like a guy whom she didnt know, she would just have to get to know him. And so, she tried to be there, to be there where the conversation involved him. As I mentioned earlier though, she was not a person who did things. And so, during those conversations she tried to get close to, she stayed quiet.

A few weeks later, she was going to give up on him again. Than something happened all wishers would want to happen. Something small, yet something wishers need; a little help from the universe. She was walking into the study hall. As unbelieveble as it seems; she bumped into the guy. Her books fell. The guy helped her get her books from the floor. Their eyes locked into each other for a while. A smile. A nervous smile. 'Thanks Liam, I got it now'. -Liam stared at her while she walked away, hoping she would turn around and give him a hug for helping her.- The girl looked for a seat. She saw one of her friends sitting over by the window. It was a table with 4 chairs. Ofcourse she went to sit next to her friend. When she got to the tables, she saw that her friend was sitting across from the guy's best friend. Now she knew she had to do something, plan something to say. The guy would come back from his locker any minute and he would go and sit next to his best friend, across from her...

Liam came back from his locker and sat across from her. He looked at her for a minute, than started talking to his friend. -He whispered; 'Dude, don't embarrass me infront of her.' A nervous look. 'No, I can't just ask her that'. The guy stared at the girl while she was doing her homework. He was thinking about how beautifull she was and about how much he wanted to tell her that. The guy's friend pushed the guy to say something.. And so, the guy did; 'Uchum, Uhm Victoria, I think your earrings are really cool. Where did you get them?' The girl looked up, surprised by this sudden compliment. 'Thank you, I got them as a gift.' The guy was turning red. The girl was blushing. The friends were silently laughing.- The girl finished her homework and the guy finished talking to his friend, when to bell rang. The girl got up to go to Biology class. The guy got up to go to German class.
