We Indians claim to be highly patriots and this patriotism is at its peak always on the day of the India Pakistan cricket match and not on our Independence day which is mostly treated as a public holiday. The ironical insect bites the young child at school itself where he is taught now in India all castes are equal but well the colleges very well break the poor child’s myth. Parents want their kids to be outstanding but not go out of the box. What’s passion? They understand profession better. Typical Indian mothers will never whole heartedly accept a foreigner as their daughter in law but yes a proposal for their daughters from a NRI settled abroad is a matter of prestige. How many Indian families today can claim they have asked their sons to help a woman in need and taught him to protect la
ladies but yes
every Indian daughter is taught about dressing and is bounded by timing
restrictions. For a change why cant men change their vision in place of women
changing their clothing and why not parents in India invest more on their
daughters education than her dowry?
The idols of radha Krishna are worshipped all
over the country and their eternal love story narrated yet let us question
ourselves which mother would be absolutely cool with their son dating a girl
elder to him? but yes every morning we
have to worship the idol but not follow the pure ideologies of the idol so
technically our mornings itself begin with an irony and the day has so many
more.
Highest ironies
in India are in the name of god. Here people worship maa Kali as the powerful
godess but the women of their family are suppressed. They pray to godess
saraswati for education but well there is no emphasis on educating girls. Here
people want godess lakshmi’s blessings in their house but not a female
child.
Irony has
become a part of our everyday life almost but till when are we going to keep
fooling ourselves with such baseless shit as you cant kiss in public but a man
can pee in public, matching zodiacs before marriage is more important and not matching
interests, a criminal can seek the blessings of god inside a temple but not a
menstruating female, ask yourself who is more impure?
The biggest
question here is many like me can sit back write, talk or criticize the society
but who is going to stand up for a change? And change here does not mean going
to the streets in protest like we do when the price of onions rise but change
here means changing our thought processes, broadening them and most importantly
changing our hypocritical attitude so that our society does not stand like an
irony today but becomes an example for tomorrow.
