what was Summer

Quarantine drunk, say i lost to the plastered walls

teetering off the bed, sparkling in the red light

screams bouncing off the ceilings

Silence is Violence in the sheets

burned through the calories with every heavy breath

burned through the days, months, whatever Summer was

there was never running free from his mind,

there was only me handicapped, blinded

dragged into vanilla rainbow tripping, happiness chasing

it's Fall outside, i want to be the one to drive

Springtime, he was fine

but in the heat i woke up to shots fired

choking, he was due to kill the romance

but no one ever said love would be this grinding

loving this hard was his passionless crime

lead and steel, the perfect company

i'll be murdering on, only one way out

it's cold inside, i want to be the only one alive
