"But an amazing injury-time display from Messi saw Barcelona steal three points and bag him his 500th goal for the Spanish giants", with this commentary echoing in his ears he ran haphazardly in his room, rejoicing the Victory of Barca..!
He's an unfortunate lion which is tamed to perform in a circus by destroying it's nature of hunting freely in a forest. Attaining a degree in Literature isn't his cup of tea. When it comes to a relationship boys would happily accept the phrase 'Your dreams are Mine now' but the same doesn't always apply in the case of our parent's dreams - They wanted him to be a Medic. They also allowed him to watch every football match which made him nocturnal. Oxygen enters the nostrils reaches the lungs and then mixes with the blood willy nilly. Similarly Football entered his mind, occupied his heart and became his passion. He is proud of his 1.7m physique which is the same as that of Messi eventhough the later suffers from Growth Hormone deficiency. His room, mobile wallpaper, hairdressing, attitude everything reflected his idol Leo Messi.
With insufficient cutoff marks he couldn't fulfill his parent's dream of visualising him as a doctor. He then joined Literature only because his parents wanted him to do so. When his teachers were lecturing on Doctor Faustus he was recollecting the Free kick that Messi shot during the match the previous night. When his friends were stalking girls he was starring at the boots which he longed to buy a long ago.
He was waiting for an aircraft at a harbour. Neruda sounded like Neymar, Shakespeare like Suárez. His Staff's round bald head, every 'O' and Zeroes, his Crush's black and white backpack and so on reminded him of football. I badly wanted him to play his dream sport - football. But he was too lazy to give a try. When he came to know that one of his school juniors was selected in the college football team he was on cloud nine but at the same time he pitied himself for he didn't even give it a fling. He managed to hide his heart break by a feeble smile.
When he was forced to play Cricket ,his elegant left hand batting and uncomplicated boundaries left everyone shell shocked. Yet his soul roamed around the far end of the ground where some cubs were playing football.Whenever the ball misses the net , trespasses the boundary and reaches him, he kicked it elegantly and made everyone awestruck. Though his hands were bound to catch the cricket ball his legs wanted to run towards the football.. He would give up anything for FOOTBALL .Somehow he managed to get into a football team consisting amateur players. When they played with branded boots he played bare foot lest his parents might worry about his future if he requested them to get him a pair of boots.Only during those days he was in a state of heavenly bliss. He had a charming smile while he was asleep, probably he might have shot a goal by that time in his dream.
Days passed by and his game bettered with each day. On a drizzly day, he was playing on a marshy ground. He was turning his literature's boredom into swifty shots. Connecting the ball to his legs with an eagle's focus and a sparrow's rhythm he escaped the defenders and was flashing towards the goal post which was just 15 hundred centimeters away from him. His mind - eyes - legs were focused to shoot the ball to the top right corner of the post. With his tightened nerves he thrust his right leg to kick the ball..
His bare foot wasn't able to latch onto that marshy land and he nose dived with a fracture in his leg. Yet he bounced back on the dot and before anyone could reach the ball he kicked it into the goal post and fell down victoriously. He sensed the tenderness of his foot only when it which was shivering without his control. He was immediately hospitalised and it took him two months to walk as before.
Others said that this trauma would dishearten him but I firmly believed that he would be behind the ball again. As per my speculation when literature(defenders) chases him, he runs behind his passion - FOOTBALL. He's no more a mere Circus Lion. The Lion is back to the forest as the King..!
