Why Should You Wear Non-Binding Socks?

Info

Non-binding socks are ideal for several reasons. These socks have none of the elastic found in most socks. Without the elastic band at the top, these socks won’t leave behind rings of imprint. They also don’t compromise circulation in your legs. If you’re wondering whether you should stock up on a couple of pairs, here’s why you should.

You Love to Travel

If you travel a lot and find yourself on your feet for most of your tours, you’ll need non-binding socks. You will bounce back quicker the next day when you don’t have sore legs and feet the night before. Socks with elastic bands tend to leave behind marks. And if the sock is a touch too tight, your feet will swell once you take them off. You and your feet will rest better when you don’t have to worry about wearing the same socks with tight, elastic bands. With the right socks, walking through cities will sound fun and exciting.

You’re a Diabetic

If you have diabetes, you’ll want to protect your feet against wounds, sores, friction burns, and more. Socks with tight elastic bands, though, could lead to friction burns or sores. If you scratch them, you could end up with open wounds. Prevent all that by getting diabetic socks for women. The socks don’t have elastic bands, so you won’t have to worry about friction burns or chafing that could result in wounds or sores. Diabetics often have neuropathy or damaged nerves, usually in their legs and feet. Elevated sugar levels could lead to amputation or death if the patient is not careful. That’s why it’s better to be safe than sorry. Start using diabetic socks, so you can protect your feet better and keep the risks minimal.

You Walk a Lot

Walking is a form of light exercise. It’s ideal for people who can’t do intense workouts because of a problem with their back or joints. It keeps you fit and healthy. However, walking a lot can also result in swollen feet. If you want to reduce the swelling, wear proper socks. Look for socks that feature non-binding tops. With no elastic bands, the socks don’t affect the blood circulation in your legs and feet. Walking also aids circulation. Both of those things help prevent swelling and help circulation. That’s good, especially if you’re a diabetic. Diabetes is a condition where too much sugar has already damaged your nerves, leading to muscle weakness, numbness, and pain. Improving circulation helps counter the numbness.

You’re Pregnant

Women who develop gestational diabetes are at a greater risk of deep vein thrombosis or DVT. Wearing non-binding socks reduces that risk. Also, many pregnant women have swelling in their ankles and feet that worsens as their due dates draw near. The swelling is caused by the pressure and extra fluid from the growing uterus. Also called edema, the condition is not typically harmful. But a sudden increase in swelling can be a sign of pre-eclampsia. Wearing non-binding socks help alleviate the edema, easing the level of discomfort for soon-to-be mommies.
