Will They Care

And the mind asked again,

"Will they care?

What if I follow the heart today,

What if I disappear right away...

What if I finally take the trip,

Which I kept delaying for these creep...

Will they care then?

Will they care once I am gone?

Will they understand how much is on me?

Its like I have fallen on my knee...

Will they see how much I try?

Or are they just ready to fry?

Or will it just be another day,

When they curse me anyway...

Will they care?

If I cry out loud,

If I just stop caring about...

Will they care then?"

The heart heard it all,

In silence, calm overall...

It smiled a saintly smile,

As it spoke after awhile,

" I have faced it all,

many times when you fall;

Look up at the sky and remember,

You are a strong survivor...

It hardly matters if they care,

Its all about how much you dare...

The point is not if they are pleased,

Your growth is what we need...

So do not wait for them to care;

You see, the world is not that fair!"
