It's that perfect time of the year for nyctophiles when the nights get longer and the days much shorter.

When the chill breeze envelopes you and warm clothes hug you,

And your day is made just by sipping a cup of chai or hot chocolate.

When having to take a bath early in the morning seems almost like a herculean task,

And coconut oil hardens into a mass.

When slumber is at its peak,

And all you want to do is curl up and sleep.

When your stomach growls for plenty of warm rich foods,

And your weighing scale starts tipping more towards the right.

When there's a sweetness in the air of Christmas treats being baked,

And every place is adorned with colorful lights and decorations.

When sunny days get more comfortable,

And people seem happier.

But it's the end of the year and there's reason enough to celebrate the year gone by.
