Two words, two jewels
With wealth unbound by rules
This is what I want to say to you
For all that you have done, thank you.
Thank you mother, for raising me right
Motivating me to touch the light
Without you, I'd be nothing
For your gaze and words, ever so loving
For all that, I can only give you
Two words, thank you.
Thank you father, for setting me straight,
For forming me, speech to gait
You are my molder, and I am your child,
I am your student, and you're the tough guide.
And for turning my skies from gray to blue
All I can give is a Thank You.
Thank you brother for the quarrels and fights,
But know still, I won't bow to your might,
You are my tutor, teach me all you know
And stand back as I grow and grow.
And for being the not-wished-for boon
All I can offer is a Thank You.
Dear friend, you stood by my side
When I laughed, raged or cried
And for that lovely support, bless your heart
We're a whole together, alone we're parts
I guess this is my cue
To hug you and say Thank You.
And god, my life and grace
From above, your moderating gaze
And for the life you granted
And the balance that never slanted
A prayer is seen fit, for debts that are due
A prayer of love and Thank you.
And I almost forgot you, dear
Without you I wouldn't be here
Your name, your form, your face is mine,
I live and walk on your line
And for you, myself, a small thank you
Is not enough to express my eternal gratitude.
