The Manchester United team has been looking for a striker who is capable of scoring goals in the air, and if there is one man who might be the perfect fit for this role, it would be Wout Weghorst. As a loan player, he is currently on loan at Besiktas, but the club will definitely be in touch with the English giants if they are interested in him.
Despite Cristiano Ronaldo's departure, Manchester United are still in the market for a striker. There are several options available to United but one that is reportedly being looked at is the signing of Dutch striker Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley.
A deal could be struck to bring in the 30-year-old in January. He would be a welcome addition to the club and could help to bring in a goalscoring option. However, there are some questions about how a move to Old Trafford would work.
Firstly, Manchester United must get a formal agreement from Besiktas over a transfer. The Turkish club have an option to buy him at the end of the season for EUR10 million. However, they have no recall clause.
If United were to sign him, it would require them to pay a fee to Burnley. They would also have to pay Besiktas for the right to terminate his loan.
Manchester United are in the market for a new striker. There are several in the transfer market and a lot of competition. The club has been linked with a few names, including Martin Terrier and Josko Gvardiol. Despite all of the attention, the club is looking for a more long-term solution.
A striker that can dominate the air is the holy grail of Man Utd. However, they will have to contend with Liverpool, Chelsea and Borussia Dortmund if they are to secure the top talent. So what are their best bets?
For one, the club is tipped to sign a new shot-stopper next season. They will also look to replace Nemanja Matic, who has been suspended for Saturday's game with Wolves.
There are a number of high-profile targets in the midfield, as well as a few on the wing. The new boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, has stated that he wants a new striker before the transfer window closes.
Wout Weghorst has left Burnley for Besiktas in Turkey on loan. But the Netherlands striker's future at the club is still not clear. His contract at Turf Moor is up in 2025, and he has expressed interest in joining Manchester United.
Besiktas are interested in signing Wout Weghorst, and have offered to buy him in the summer. But they want some financial compensation before the deal is completed. And if Manchester United agree to the move, they would need to pay the amount.
The 27-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant season with Besiktas. He scored a goal against his former club in the Super Lig on Saturday. In addition, he also scored twice in the Netherlands' World Cup quarter-final against Argentina.
However, he has been linked with a January move to Manchester United. As a result, his future at the Turkish club is now under the spotlight.
While Besiktas are keen to keep him, they also want a fee for the early termination of his loan. This is despite the fact that they did not include a recall clause in the deal fel3arda.
After a strong performance in Portugal's 6-1 win against Switzerland in the World Cup last-16, Joao Felix has ignited speculation that he could be leaving Atletico Madrid. His relationship with manager Diego Simeone has been rocky, but that hasn't stopped him from expressing his desire to leave.
A number of clubs have been linked with a move for Joao Felix. Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have all shown an interest. But it seems unlikely that they will be able to secure a deal with the 23-year-old.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa have emerged as a surprise candidate to sign the Portuguese. According to Spanish media, the club are in the running for his signature. And with the club looking to add attacking reinforcements, he could be the perfect fit.
While at Atletico, Felix has had some excellent moments. He has scored six goals in his first season in Spain and had three goals and an assist in the Europa League. However, he hasn't always been the player the club expected.
