There was once a boy named Chad. His life was complicated. It was so complicated that, even the endless lines of this e-book can't take it all. It just isn't enough to explain it all. But what is written in this page doesn't contain the mind of Chad. It only explains his opinion on life and other people. His opinion of other beings, creatures, ALL. Because people mind simplifies his opinion of all things. That's why a baby's imagination and ideas are so interesting, complicated and hard to understand. Baby has too few things to consider. As we grow, more things add up to our little, worthless lifes. Our brain simplifies so it can deal with them all. That's why this page doesn't contain Chad's mind, instead it contains his opinions of other people out there. Sky, his belongings, his family, dark nights, the emotions and feelings itselfs. Because these things already passed from a simplification process. Other writers may pretend they express their books' charecter's minds and all feelings. Don't you fall for that. It's just another way simplify our brains. Put them in papers. Of course, a writer makes his/her story with considerable parts of characters' mind. That what makes books readable and fun. So let's start. Chad was in a high school. He was going through puberty. He knew it. He waited for it his entire life. Because he was a curious kid. And he loved to make social experiments on himself. He decided to talk with the girls in his class. But this time he was going to investigate all his feelings. What puberty did to him. He had always talked with his classmates. This time was different. As the conversation started. Chad realized something. As his classmate speaked, many MANY things was passing through his mind. The girl asked a simple question. Chad had a lot on his mind. So he decided to put everything in one answer. He screwed up of course. Girl asked a simple question, and Chad made refences from Shakespeare and told something about American independence war. It was awkward. Girl had just said "how are you". She laughed at him and left. Chad realized he cannot pour his thoughts in sentences, especially not in "one" sentence. So he began so simplify, it was so easy. As time passed he just gave short answers, shorter and shorter each and everytime. By the time he realized he was giving answers with one word. He stopped. He searched his mind. His thoughts were gone. What the hell was this ? He simplified his answers and his thoughts were also simplified. He was just trying to fit in. Be like the others. And he succeded. He was now predictable. Like all. Thinking same thing at the same time with all other people. Chad realized if he had continued with this process. He would be a part of the group. The group of NORMAL human beings. Until there was no difference left at all. This was the way to being happy. To fit in. In a place where nobody can judge you. Because you already doing the samethings as they do. He went down this way. He got used to this way of thinking. Now he was one of them. One of the horde, swarm, flock. Whatever you want to call it. Now it was all quiet. He was happy. His mind was quiet. No more irrationable thoughts were popping into his brain. He was euphoric. That stupid girl in the class could not judge him anymore. That silly girl couldn't even understand the connection between him and the Independence war. Wait ! "What is that ?" Chad couldn't understand it now either. Eventually he decided he didn't care. He was happy. He was one of them. It was all quiet. He thought: "I am safe".
What he didn't realize, that he lost one of his most precious belongings. He lost himself. He lost his difference. That was what made him unique. His weird way of thinking was his ability. It's nothing to be scared of. To get rid of. He didn't have to become a member of the horde. But in this stage of life. He was inexperienced and he was making decisions that would decide the rest of his life. All he needed a little guidance. An advice that explains him that its OK to be different. Even if the flock didn't accept him in. Because he would cripple their system of life. An endless cycle that all the members of flock was happy and bound to social rules that they didn't even had a clue about. Many of today's kids, suffer this problem. So i am calling out to all parents out there. Guide them. Don't ask him/her to be like you. Encourage Him to be himself.
(Note: This story supposed to be about my summer love. But don't let that concern you.)
