Your Hands at Otsuzumi

The room started to get dim. Spotlight emphasized the stage as that heavy curtain went up. My heart smiled as the curtain unfolds, you were there!

You were there sitting with your hands resting on your thighs. You looked straight to the audience but seemed to see nothing. As the poets started to sing their poems, their unfamiliar words surrounded the hall. Stories of men, life and love were beautifully recited, danced and sung.

You were there sitting with your hands resting on your thighs. You're waiting for that moment in the story to play your part. As they gracefully danced and magically sing, you started to lift your hands to reach for that little drum. I remembered when you told me, "It's called otsuzumi".

You were there sitting with your hands gracefully positioned. One hand that holds that little drum while the other is ready to tap. As you heard the sign, you started to play. The sound echoed in the room that have reached my heart. Every sound you produced seemed like a blood that pumps my heart. My heart beats so loud that my brain told my lips to smile with that shine in my eyes.

You were there gracefully tapping that little drum. The rhythm perfectly embraced the rhyme of the poems they sing and the strings of the shamisen they play. With that strongly subtle tune, dancers gorgeously danced. They moved like the waves carefully arced with the sound. Your hands suddenly stopped tapping that little drum and put your hands at rest again on your thighs.

You were there handsomely sitting. You closed your eyes as you listen to the rhythm. Your lips moves a little as you smile secretly, enjoying the sound of the poems and strings. You are listening with your lips smiling and your hands on your thighs, letting your soul fly with the rhythm of the music. I can feel the joy that the sound gives you as it gives me same joy looking at you while your eyes are closed. Oh! How I wanted to look at you more? So, please close those beautiful eyes a little more longer.

You were there sitting while opening your eyes. As you prepare to get that little drum for your next part, you looked at me and smiled. The hall full of the sound of the music suddenly filled with silence. Your smile made my heart beats louder, only I can hear. You continued smiling while looking at me. I can't describe what I felt, but I'm sure, my face is burning red!

Again, you played that little drum on the stage, smiling while looking at me and your hands at otsuzumi.  #czary042324252617
