Tell Us A Story

Note: The following adventure was created for an online contest for students at a university in New Delhi. Now that the contest is over, we're opening it up for the whole Launchora community! So dig in, and tell us a story...

Well, the adventure is pretty simple. We’re giving you two principal characters and a story prompt which you must use to create a short story between 1200 - 3000 words. You can choose to add as many characters to the storyline as you’d like and as far as the prompt goes, you can choose to place it anywhere within your story (beginning, middle, or, the end.) We need you to go crazy with your creativity and write something within the word limit which would blow your mind (and hopefully ours too). So here it goes -

First Character: Annie
Second Character: Ila

Scene: They looked at each other and grinned. As the train moved past the quaint village, they knew they had finally made it. There was an eerie silence blowing through the entire coach whose sole occupants were the two silent passengers and the one brown package placed carefully between them. Annie leaned back on the seat and closed her eyes with a silent smile resting upon her lips while Ila watched her closely as her heart raced frantically.
