The fates themselves cannot obscure me from you.
Even Zeus’ master bolt cannot electrify me the way your touch makes my heart shudder.
As if thousands of lightning bolts are piercing my capillaries; making my systems tremble, clouding my sanity.
And I know, that the Nemean Lion’s pelt cannot conceal me from your penetrating gaze.
Whenever I meet your eyes, I see thousands of celestial bronze bullet aiming at me, making me disintegrate at spot.
Hades’ helm of darkness will not make you cower in fear, for you are a Colchis bull, resilient and sturdy.
We will plummet above the heavens using Daedalus’ wings; I am not terrified to fly too close to the sun or ocean because I know, that if ever my wings won’t flutter anymore, you are there, willing to seize my falling body.
And who knows? Maybe our love is more beautiful than Aphrodite herself.
Where it blooms even in the most horrid fortress inside me.
Shedding moonlight beams in my chained heart when I lost everything.
Maybe our love is tougher than the war god Ares.
Or unpredictable as Poseidon’s domain: the seas.
I’m no merman but we’ll let the currents take us to wherever it washes everything away.
I can feel my insides pummel at the sight of crashing waves like meteors skidding across the constellations.
Dearest, even Hecate cannot unbind the spell between us.
No amount of magic would be suffice to subdue our love.
I won’t let Apollo’s bad haikus smudge the stales in our story.
Even Artemis’ silver arrows won’t notch the shield we have embedded around it.
Maybe, true love is the strongest weapon after all.
I promise, that we will last longer than Hephaestus’ automatons
That even Typhon or Talos cannot unravel our links.
The Isles of Blest isn’t sufficient to fill the crevice of our eternity
No one will ever take you away from my hold.
Even Hermes, Dionysus, Demeter or Hera won’t stand a chance.
One day, at the sight of an unearthly moment, your petals will bloom.
Like an alluring pomegranate in Persephone’s orchard.
And remember that Iris’ rainbow cannot reciprocate your beauty.
If the world became serene and the chasm of Tartarus sealed itself
I promise you:
We will glide through the clouds like stymphalian birds and race with hippocampi in the churning waves.
We will drive the fiery sun chariot and visit Atlas’ prison: where the vast skies meet the earth we live in.
We will play with naiads as the satyrs perform their enchanting woodland magic.
All of it seems like mythology, but believe me: the love I have for you is realer than the existence of the Gods or Western Civilization.
I will be your Perseus and let us make this story worth telling.
And when the time comes, when our prophecy has been fulfilled,
The Oracle of Delphi will walk towards us, saying:
“Heroes, you have made it.”
