The Lost Lover

I hope one day when you contain longing and emptiness you’ll ask for me. The kind of thing I have wanted since the beginning; not just meeting your pretty lips and catching fires for you. I want it all: your time, attention, love and you, to embrace me. To fill this hollowness since the first time you held me in your chest. I’m a moth in your garden but you liked butterflies anyway.

I want your curious fingers to run across my wilderness. Sail my deepest storms and they’ll find serenity in the sweetness of your voice. Ruin me and explore my brokenness, the traces of you suppressed the fragments of mine. When you came, you’ll know how my stars longed for you --- my stillness of everything.

Find me in a point of your body, in the very pivot of you, and see that I, no longer stayed in your crowded city. Because I am lost and wandering in someone else’s memory. Follow you restless promises and unfurling words, these beautiful lies will lead you to the demise of our melancholic love. And when you find me, all that’s left is a memento of mine, of a lost lover who would never come back.
