Lost Soul

It's been 3 months since you've left me here in an empty space. I became blind. I can't see anything. Is it because of the darkness? Could it be because of too much light? It feels like I am being taken to a war. I have lots of bruises and wounds. Should I be happy or not? I can't feel anything. Oh! How can I be happy when I'm already numb.

At this point of my life, I would like to reminisce the episodes we shared. Those happenings that made you dance with glee. I remember how your lips reached your eyes as you smile when you got your birthday present. The memory of you jumping for joy after knowing that you're about to travel brought me to a realization that you have passion for discovering the beauty of the world. The sound of your laughter is still clear to me. It's genuine. It has pure innocence. You're a kid who's longing for love. You're afraid of getting lost yet still wandering around the world. Look at where you are now. You are the opposite of what you should be. Gone the smile, the laughter, the joy. You're still wandering but not with the beauty of the world. You're wandering in the chaos of life. The innocence of yours is being tainted by the people whom you expected to lift you up. You realized that the rainbow won't show up anymore after the storm.

The optimistic me is gone.It had left without a warning. Right now, I see myself waking up and just staring at nothingness. 3 months have past and the darkness still envelopes me. Will my old self come back? Or it'll just leave me hanging around and barely breathing.
