Wonders

"There were minutes when I'm with you that my fast-paced world slows down as you tell me everything about that little dream you once held so tight. You named your insecurities like acid burning your skin and I saw how it dig emptiness deep in your heart. You introduced all your victories, failures, all your cries and redemptions. And so I did, because you've got all my whys in a way no one ever could.

I told you that you may become less of that little dreamer, but you have become more of the warrior that you are. And you told me that I, too, carries a bag full of dreams and pockets full of hopes. That we did not come this far only to bury them.

But now, your absence sounded like a goodbye that I cannot bury in all the hours of the day.  A familiar void appears in my chest reminding me that I may have took the leap and lived my dream, but I have left my chance for happiness at the palm of your hands.

It's been weeks and you're past gone. Without a word, without anything. Just gone. And I'm left here, still wondering what's all this about.

Was it love?

Or just something we don't have a word for?"
