"The world became bigger the moment we lost each other. Our names are reaching further heights. Places became places we can no longer visit and the streets we used to walk together became nothing but blurry lights.

Our younger selves who fell in love with each other were just a collateral damage of who we were destined to become. Our ships will never sail without those tears that flowed us to where we need to be.

And now we became more than sunken ships and wreckage along the shore. Our broken hearts were laid to rest in the arms of the wild waves caressing the lonely ocean coasts. Breaking every peaceful shell, reeking pain and regrets that has long been buried. Painting sundowns in clearer hues to feel in our palms how we held on for so long only to let go.

Sometimes I wish there was another way around. But we can't have the best of both worlds, can we? And that hurts the most. Because I had to lose my chance on you only to have a chance on myself.
