My mind is an ocean
With waves pushing pulling
Rocks swaying in rhythm
Moonlight reflecting refracting.
Often times, the water's clear as day
Calm and steady.
Sudden rain makes it cloudy
Disturbed and a tad angry.
The rocks come in variety
Some as light as cotton candy.
Others a bit heavy to carry
And I let them sit deep within me.
At night when my ocean's gloomy,
I like how your moonlight touches me.
Shining from the horizon towards me.
Giving hope even just a glimpse.
