You are unique.
Every single one of us is.
People in your life made you an abstract picturesque
A colorful and lone masterpiece.
Remember Summer 2016,
How Lilly told you to look up.
Blue skies and a kiss on your chin,
That's how your blue's painted in.
Remember how Tom made you eat tomatoes
Cause it makes your pale skin glow.
As you chew aggressively up on your tiptoes,
Shared laugh; red paint became the only color you knew.
Remember when Alice gave you pink roses.
Telling you that they signify sweetness
And you whispered "Loving a woman sure is the best".
As your lips touched hers, the canvass looked like a big pink mess.
Remember how you last fell
"You're too much for me", John's back faces you.
Holding onto the table, afraid that your legs will betray you, too.
You closed your eyes; hoping that black paint won't consume you.
Remember all these colors, think of it all.
When you think you're an empty shell, remember the wall.
An abstract hangs and it reflects them all.
Beautifully painted; damaged yet endearing for all.
