Various nutrients are required in our bodies to take care of ourselves. These nutrients help us to have a healthy lifestyle. Similarly, for hairs, there are nutrients required to be healthy and strong. If the hairs do not get these nutrients, then it would be weak and would fall off. The Vitamins are essential for the growth of hair and different vitamin affect the health of hair differently such as –
● Vitamin A – It is required in a body to help them grow. It lets an oily type of material known by the name of Sebum to produce in hair. With Sebum, the skin of the scalp gets moisturized and helps in maintaining healthy hair. It is essential to have an adequate amount of Vitamin A into the body, excess doses of it will be dangerous too. ● Vitamin B - This is the vitamin that is best known for the growth of hair and also known by the name of Biotin. Biotin is considered as the measure for the people who are suffering from hair loss and as the best remedy for hair loss who are deficient in it. It helps in creating red blood cells which help in carrying oxygen as well as nutrients to the scalp and towards hair follicles. It is available in many of the food sources such as fish, green leafy vegetables, seafood, Almonds, whole grains, and many more.
● Vitamin C – Vitamin c is an antioxidant that boosts the growth of hair and protects from the free radicals. It creates the protein, collagen, which is one of the important parts of the hair structure. It also helps in the body to absorb iron, which is essential for the growth of hair as well as for the body. There are many sources through which one can get Vitamin C, such as peppers, citrus fruits, guavas, and strawberries.
● Vitamin D – With Vitamin D, the growth of new follicles will be possible. These are the minute pores in the scalp through which the growth of new hair could be done. Most people do not have an adequate amount of Vitamin D in their body, which needs to be increased for the proper growth of hair. Different sources through which one can get the Vitamin D are fatty fish, some of the mushrooms, cod liver oil, and many more. Even Vitamin D can be obtained from the direct rays of the sun.
● Vitamin E – It has antioxidant properties that prevent oxidative stress and can grow the hair. The people having this at adequate quantity into their bodies do not suffer from hair loss. Different sources of Vitamin E are almonds, avocados, sunflower seeds, and spinach.
Hair plays a major role in any individual life. If an individual is taking the vitamins at adequate quantity, then there will be less hair loss. These should be taken in sufficient quantities to maintain the health of the hair and body.
