5 Things About Glass Bottles You Should Know Before You Order

Info

It’s fun to organize your cooking and baking supplies. But it’s not always convenient to put them inside plastic containers. Glass bottles have a bit of heft, and they look classy, though, especially the clear ones. If you want to organize your pantry, why not order glass bottles for all your ingredients? Here are five things you need to know, though, before you order anything.

Check for the Top

When you buy glass bottles, are the tops included? That might be a given for you. But some shops might sell those caps separately. You’ll want to make sure you look into that before you order any bottles for your kitchen. The last thing you want is to have to order the lids a second time. Also, if that’s the case, then you’ll be better off finding a supplier for your glass bottles that already include the caps or lids at no extra charge.

Consider the Size

When you buy the bottles, can you buy them in different sizes? For instance, if you’re buying 5ml glass jars, how many of them do you need in the order? Is there any minimum or maximum orders? You’ll want to find out. That way, you’ll know if you need to order more bottles than you need and if you can pick five bottles of a certain size and another five of a different size.

Discuss Customization

Does the supplier offer customization options? Do you need special bottles for an occasion? What’s the level of customization that the supplier allows? Talk about that before you proceed. It would be best to have an idea of what kind of customization it is. Write a list. That should be one of the first things you’ll discuss with the supplier to determine if they have the resources and expertise to deliver the products the way you want them. However, you should have a contingency plan or warranty in case the bottles don’t turn outright.

Talk About Certifications

What kind of certification tests as well as special regulations have the company’s bottles gone through? You’ll want to make sure you aren’t buying any second-rate bottles. Otherwise, those bottles might break at the earliest opportunity. You wouldn’t want to waste time, effort, and money ordering another batch just because the first one didn’t work out. Look for a supplier that can offer durable glass bottles. That way, even if they fall, they won’t break too easily. That matters. Glass bottles that shatter much too easily are a safety hazard in your kitchen.

Look for Cleaning Basics

When you pick glass bottles, make sure to go over any information on how to clean them. Some might require a special kind of brush and cleaning solution. You might scratch the bottle if you use a rough sponge. If you use a dishwasher, the bottles might shatter from the heat. You’ll need to learn more about the cleaning instructions and essentials to know what methods, tools, and supplies you can use to keep those battles clean.
