1 . Drink lots of fluids

With all the drinks and coffees the majority of people are dehydrated even at the most awe-inspiring of times, so ensure that you are conscious to drink plenty of fluids during your travels. Water is essential to ensure you get through the business travel experience without stress fatigue, lethargy, or the horrible jet lag that we all have experienced! Water helps with digestion, assists you to lose fat more effectively, and can help reduce the cravings for food you may be experiencing, which is why it makes perfect sense to drink plenty of water throughout the day.

2. Sleep well and get a good night's rest

Inspect your hotel room before accepting it. Check that it's not located near the lifts, bar, or loading areas. I guarantee you that the sound of a delivery truck coming in through your windows at 3 am is not the most pleasant of guests! If you think that the first night of your stay is too loud, just demand to be removed.

For a backup plan of safety Make sure to pack an earplug set as well as an eye mask to block out any lights and noises and to ensure a peaceful night's rest.

3. Eat Sensibly

The first thing to do is avoid biscuits and coffee in the boardroom. Instead, begin your day by eating a nutritious breakfast, which is best served at the hotel restaurant, rather than the room service. Pick a few possible snacks at the buffet bar such as fruit and yogurts. Then, you should take some healthy snacks with you on your travels, so that you can take them along with you throughout your day to keep full and satisfied. Nuts are an excellent choice however, be sure to not consume too many in one sitting!

4. Do yourself a favor and take some 'ME' time

Examine your work schedule and make sure to include the time to yourself and some "me" time. You can find just five or ten minutes each day to take a break, relax and unwind from emails, phone calls, and meetings, and let your mind wander off. Shut off your cell phone or laptop and engage in other activities, such as reading an ebook or listening to your iPod or going for a walk, or exercising at your hotel...

5. Keep in contact with family members and friends

Even in the toughest times, even a quick contact or message from home is the only thing you require to get better. When you talk to your loved ones, you'll be able to relax your mind, let go of work for a bit and engage in conversations that make you laugh or smile.

Follow these five tips for your next business Trip And you'll be able to make your time away from home less stressful.
