I still remember that day, the memories fresh in my mind, when i last kissed your beautiful face. So calm, peaceful, no trouble in the world. Nowhere to go, no train to catch. I wont say i saw your face for the last time that day. Your mortal body, yes. But you.. That smile.. Those eyes.. I see them each day. Looking at me. Blessing me. Sometimes even whispering in my ears, “Nanu, i love u”.

Let me tell you that i miss you each day, each moment. I miss you when the skies roar and raindrops trickle down my window, cause it rained when i saw you last. I miss you when im about to sleep, cause you've become a dream, no more a person i can run back to and hug with all my might. I miss you when i see a child walk hand in hand with his grandfather, because you! You were the best grandpa any child can ever have.

Even today, when i hear an unexpected doorbell, it feels like you're here. Finally. After the long wait. Here to see me. With that bag filled with goodies, and those eyes looking at me, with tears of joy.

I cried that day because i thought you would be gone. What i did not know was that i could make you stay. Cause i know today that you're here. With me. In my heart. In the skies above. In the morning sun. In the tiny drops of dew. In my happiness and tears. You're there. And you'll always be.
