A deal..

Info

She woke again to the humble breeze, it was a surprise compare to the morning. The warm breeze had subsided sooner than expected it was past 12 pm that the breeze made way to her room and caressed her bare body (as she generally preferred to sleep after a warm bath.) Her skin was thirsty and herself too, she patted some lotion from the drawer next to her bed and grabbed a robe to shut her balcony door. The moon was high and the light fell on her open torso, her figure curled with the light. Hiding her bare breasts as she noticed some movement in the lawn. But then a cat jumped up the wall and unto the tree. She shut the balcony door, parting the curtains to allow distant moon to make love to her as she sleeps.

He saw her, her ample breasts open, neither too large nor too small, but sweet enough to caress, to fondle. He couldn't leave the thought behind: her silhouette kept playing in his mind he wanted those ripen berries now. He was told the back window was always open to enter the house but now he aimed higher. Higher to her balcony. But his bad, the balcony was shut because of his blunder: as he jumped across the wall, he missed to see the cat and jumped almost on it hiding behind a bush. But she didn't notice those urgent movements.

He let time subside, as the cricket restarted there usual hymn, he lurked for the back window as per plan. He still remembers her face and she was more than beautiful. Not that it diffused anything in him but after seeing her a while ago, the hint of chance sparked. But he kept revolting, his aim was bigger; much bigger for him to get into this. He kept pacing to the steps that led to her room silently in his socks not to leave any trace. 'What will be her age?' the thought came fleeting. 'Probably 31 but looks younger. Maybe for the moon light.' He kept scrolling with his hasty thoughts.

She couldn't sleep. She again went to her balcony restless. Her instincts stirred something in her. She hated being alone but then what can she do after her divorce. Her husband loved her for money nor was she satisfied. Never could she bring herself to cheat either, her late dad would never approve of her. And she lived for whom? She felt more useless than she used to feel earlier. She looked down from where she stood. She was never this depressed as of now. Her dad left her bungalow, business and money but of what use.

How often she has thought of jumping off the balcony but never dared once. So, fugitive she felt of herself. 'What use?' her mind quarreled. She realized she has never taken any leap, ever since her mom left her dad for a younger man. Her dad became her everything. He gave her all freedom to be but she always chose her ailing dad. Even before her marriage she didn't deny marrying Fredrick (most cunning person she has ever met or seen.) She married knowing what he was after. While her dad made the biggest mistake, Fredrick became the CEO of her company while she owned the entire business. Luckily, nothing moved without her permission which bothered Fredrick and somehow love never took place and they parted ways. He was still the CEO. And she lost her dad to cancer. Broken, her tears were dry as dry as her.

She again looked down at the ground, the marble flooring of the lawn was posh when renovated before her wedding, still anew.

He was about to enter, ready with his shiny weapon. He flinched thinking of his daughter who was dealing cancer III stage, the doctors asked him to get money asap for the operation or else they can't save her. His boss suggested some Fredrick who could help and this is what he needed in return. A life for a life. But he loved his daughter more.

Steadfast, he slowly opened the door without any sound.

The room was enormous and delicately white, the only light that shone around was the moon light coming from the open balcony, cold breeze blowing in. The bathroom lights were off and he ran towards the balcony.

Only to be taken aback.

She leaped for the first and the final time. She had no one to turn except the marble flooring which now were crimson red by her blood. Blood that oozed from her nose and head and her bare body clutched the cold stone.

He escaped. Not knowing what or why. Leaving no trace behind.

Next day her dead body was found, bare, numb and blue from the blood loss and also cold. It was suicide. The reports and news flashed of her suicide.

He went to his daughter straight ahead, devastated to have thought to take a life. His daughter was fighting vigorously while he repented his attempt, begging to have her back.

Fredrick was one happy man out of the consequences. News flashing of her death, anoints him the only one to inherit her business, property and gain public sympathy for his loss. And there by deliberately saved the man's daughter out of the deal made.

After a week, a notice came from the higher orders. The deceased made sure to instill her Will before dying which read:

'I decided to finish my life and do not blame any for it, not even my husband but i can't let my dad's blood and sweat go in vein. So, here are the written papers of my company and property that I announce for its auction and no person, not even my husband be a beneficiary, if at all. But all the money be given to charity and NGOs for cancer patients.

Signed,

Diana Rodriguez.'
