A Long Day

It's been a long day

long enough to keep me awake,

from the sleep at night

to the peace of the soul.

There are thoughts

yet, I feel empty.

There are people, yet I feel alone.

It's been a long day,

long enough to keep me alive.

Fighting from what I feel,

Fighting for who I am.

There is pain

yet, I smile

There are moments where I choose to be quiet.

It's been a long day,

long enough to make me tired.

From the chaos in my head,

from those unending desires.

I wish to scream

and fear to be unheard.

There are moments I feel like quitting

yet, I am waiting for it to end.

It's been a long day..
