A Love That I Chose To Let Go

Blessings might come in as unexpected disguises.

But sometimes, a blessing is within us: it is our thoughts.

Seemingly, we choose to keep and nurture it once we found it.

A few months ago, I received a blessing at an unexpected pace

That I only knew of... and he also knew.

A raw, profound love has produces a small love

One that's bound to grow and witness the world one day.

In the meantime, it has to be protected from "it".

But "it" grew alongside the small love I'm nurturing, 

Each day became the harbor of a thousand emotions --- 

Where we both drowned, breathed and struggle

All these must have been felt from deep within

By my small love, who by now, has earned a will

To be whole, to be recognized, to be sympathized to.

Brought about by "it", I thought things through.

Over and over and over again --- I realized.

Again, over. "It" must not take over me,

Or my small love --- we will both suffer.

On the 25th of May, there I was

I decided to let my small love go.
