The Admirer

His eyes do not sparkle,

Because sparkle shines for a moment and then goes dull,

His eyes shine like the sun,

At times soothing, also having a potential to burn.

His lips are not like rose’s petals,

Because rose gets withered, nor are they like any other precious metals,

They are soft like silk & tender like a baby’s,

They taste like alcohol, could make your focus hazy.

His face has a beauty which can’t be imitated,

The charm that he has which cannot be replicated,

His mere presence is enough to spread cheer,

And in a moment, he becomes everyone’s dear.

He doesn’t see himself from my eyes,

If he could, he’ll never breathe woeful sighs,

His innocence is what keeps him away from vanity,

Or else he would’ve thought of himself no less than a deity.

He’s not only just looks and charm,

He’s the goodness that can keep everyone warm,

He’s a little bit shy,

He doesn’t crave for glory, let others fly.

His soul is as beautiful as his face,

Filled with elegance and grace,

He is loyal to his loved ones,

& at times he teases them, pleases them, speaks pun.

He is honest and speaks his mind,

Like everyone, he too has flaws which only a few can find,

Yet, he is the imperfect ruler of my world,

With a loving heart, I’ll welcome him, whenever he’ll come.

I’ll wait for him and pray,

That he’ll find his way here, someday,

The dark that spans over my world will come to an end,

In this life or another, I’ll be his everything, his lover, his best friend.

Until then, I’ll remain his admirer,

And wish him even my share of happiness with her,

This love may be filled with pain & crazy that I have for him,

But he’ll always be my only love till my vision gets dim.
