You're Magnifique

You’re magnifique, you’re magnifique,

I’m wondering what to speak,

To speak of your beauty or

To speak of love that I bore,

Or narrate the story of our first meet,

Of how you swept me off my feet,

Is it all worth saying?

Or should I keep quiet and let you speak the beginning.

For I could listen to you all day and night,

And not move even an inch, be captivated by your lovely sight,

It’s the way your hands move & your eyes twinkle that mesmerize me,

Like I’m seeing a movie, the kind where it all ends happily.

Should I say I heard violins & guitars & pianos?

But that’ll be a cliché, that’ll be a fibbed dose,

No noise was made when my heart you stole,

You’re a thief and with you I feel whole.

Because I’ll be a pauper without you in my life,

And be an emperor if you are by my side,

I mean it when I say; life will have no joy without you here,

You don’t the extent to which you have become dear.

For I won’t mind fighting a war,

To make you mine for forever,

Because I know I’ll win, I’ll be victorious,

As long as my life has your presence.

You are my good luck charm,

I could still feel you in my arms,

I could still feel your breath,

Just to have a glimpse of you, I could face anyone’s wrath.

I could be your Keats, Wordsworth or Shakespeare,

Write a poem, paint a portrait or sing any song that you want to hear,

For you, I could do it all I swear,

I could try to be perfect or a bit near.

I promise to fulfil your every wish and demand,

I promise to walk hand in hand with you on any path,

I promise you would never need a shoulder to cry on,

I would never let a tear to shed from your eye from now on.

I promise that you’ll never have any moment of rue,

And here’s one more promise that I make to you,

I promise to love you, every day of my life,

And this love will never lessen but will increase till I die!
