A well-fitted wardrobe is second to importance only to the bed itself in a bedroom. That’s why wardrobes in Adelaide are so popular, and everyone who is anyone has one. Since the wardrobe is so important, it’s important to take your time, do your research, and shop around to determine which is the best choice for your storage needs.
There are also a couple of different options for the type of wardrobes in Adelaide you decide to have put in the bedroom of your humble abode. Free-standing can be moved around and gives your bedroom a free feel, while a fitted wardrobe is excellent if you don’t want to take up too much space with your storage options.
There are also advantages and disadvantages of wardrobes as well. Read on below for a few of them to be explained.
Advantage: Fitted Wardrobes
If you have a problem area or your bedroom is super small, then a fitted wardrobe might be the perfect choice for you. Fitted wardrobes can be made to fit around awkward corners, sloping ceilings, and even uneven walls. They are the perfect choice for someone with an oddly shaped room or someone who has specific storage plans in mine.
Disadvantage: Fitted Wardrobes
The biggest disadvantages of fitted wardrobes is that you have to sit down with an installer to come up with a design that makes you happy, then wait for the wardrobe to be built and installed. Fitted is also quite a bit more expensive than freestanding wardrobes are. You also can’t move a fitted wardrobe from room to room either, or if you decide to move, you can’t easily take it with you.
Advantage: Freestanding Wardrobes
Freestanding is the polar opposite of fitted. A freestanding wardrobe can be taken with you from house to house, and they cost a lot less. Plus, you can purchase this type of storage option, have it delivered to your home and start using it right away, instead of waiting on design and installation to happen.
Disadvantage: Freestanding Wardrobes
If there isn’t sufficient shelves, railings, and other accessories, then a freestanding wardrobe can end up being a waste of space. The biggest disadvantage comes in if you have children. There’s always the risk that they will pull the wardrobe over on top of them, which could be fatal. Make sure that secure the wardrobe with wall fixings to prevent this from happening.
Advantage: Fitted and Freestanding Wardrobes
The one advantage that both wardrobes have in common, no matter which you choose, is that they are a useful, and wise investment. Both are investments that you can enjoy using every day, and if you do your research, you can get either at a pretty acceptable price.
These are just a few of the advantages and disadvantages of fitted or freestanding wardrobes. Do your research, take your time, compare prices, and then choose the best wardrobes in Adelaide to suit your storage needs. You’ll be happy with whichever choice you make when you do.
