ALL men are dogs? NO!

Info

A rainy morning and electricity supply in Delhi are a deadly combination, literally!

Shivani was late for her office, yet again. She was watching her favorite Shahrukh Khan movie last night and so slept at 3.00 am, 2 hours later than her usual sleep time. "Jesus Shivi! When are you going to learn!!", Shivani exclaimed, disappointed with herself. Completing her household chores, offering her daily prayers to "Gannu Ji" she pleaded, "Please! Please! Gannu ji..I wish the boss is in good mood today..otherwise I'm gone!". "I'll be back by 8 in the evening, or late if I get stuck in traffic, wake up or else you'll be late for the classes", Shivani stated to her flatmate Rishika who was a third year student in Delhi University. Shivani took her office bag and ran outside her flat. On her way outside, she collided with a creepy guy of her apartment who was in his early 20s but had a shaggy beard and moustache and had a rough sense of clothes. Shivani could barely manage herself from falling and hit the side railing of the stairs. "Sorry", said the creepy guy as he turned back and went away. "Stupid moron!", murmured Shivani, in an irritated tone as she revived herself and went out to look for an auto-rickshaw. She was not in the mood of bargaining as she was already super late for office. "Bhaiya Green Park Metro Station chaloge?", she asked the driver. "50 rupay madam", replied the driver in a not-so-interested tone while he checked her out from head to toe. Shivani quickly bumped inside the Auto thinking that this is the daily story of every auto driver here and switched her safety app on. As the auto proceeded to some distance Shivani noticed from the rear view mirror of the auto that the creepy guy whom she collided with in the apartment was succeeding the auto. Shivani was shocked but tried to ignore the fact that came to her mind : "Is he following me?". Although, she ignored her guts and had a glance of the time from her wrist watch. The watch struck 9.18 a.m. and a sense of tension hit Shivani as she was already 15 minutes late from her normal time. Getting out from the shock, she again looked at the mirror and was suspicious to find out that the guy was still following the auto and this time he was looking at Shivani through the same rear view mirror. Shivani was horrified now as she noticed that the guy has hazel eyes. "Never trust a person with hazel eyes", she remembered her mother superstitious comment, though in seemed to have a little meaning now. "Lo madam ji aagya aapka metro station", said the auto driver breaking her chain of terrified thoughts. The Green Park metro station is rarely crowded. That morning there was not a single person to be seen around. Shivani got down from the auto hurriedly and gave the driver a 100 rupee note by mistake and turned back to go to the station. "Madam ji!", shouted the auto driver to tell her that she gave a 100 rupee note instead of 50 rupees. But, because of the horror in her heart, Shivani started walking as fast as she could and ignored the calls of the driver. The driver started running towards her,"Arey madam". As she heard the footsteps, she opened her bag as soon as she could and took her pepper spray in her hand. "Madam ji aapne 100 rupay pakda diye", shouted the driver. A wave of relief ran through her body as she turned back and smiled sheepishly. "Oh, sorry bhaiya", said shivani as she took the money back from the driver and gave him a 50 rupee note. "Bitiya jaisi hain aap hamari isliye itna bhaage hum, warna is umar me bhaagne ki himmat nahi hoti", Shivani suddenly remembered of her untimely conclusion which she made when she thought that he was checking her out. "Maaf kijiye bhaiyya zara jaldi me hu, thank you". As Shivani said this, she noticed the creepy guy parking her bike in the parking. "Oh god! Is he? Oh god! But why is he following me?", Shivani couldn't resist her gut feeling anymore and switched her safety app to active mode which sent an automated message which included her location to all her default  numbers. After that she ran to catch the metro and as she swapped her card at the entry gate she turned back and now was out of her senses to see him following her." I can dodge him if I catch the metro as fast as I could", she thought of the smartest idea she could thought. She ran upstairs and considered herself lucky to see that there was a metro at the station. Shivani ran so fast that she became breathless. As she got into the metro and tried to catch her breath she sensed relief. But her relief lasted really short as she turned and saw that the creepy guy ran in a hasty way and got inside the metro. Shivani had no time to feel anymore terror and looked around in a hope that a public metro would be filled by people, but was heartbroken to see that there was just a single couple in the metro sitting in the corner of the next coach who were getting too much intimate so she was hopeless. The next option she thought of was to call someone to help but thanks to the technology, there was no signal in her phone. Shivani started feeling weak, lonely, vulnerable and her body went cold. She was disappointed of the fact of being a girl for a moment and thought of how a male dominated country she was living in but then realised that she had no time to regret over her gender, as she looked back she saw the guy heading towards her. Shivani looked through the whole metro and ran towards the women's coach as fast as she could. "Hello", shouted the creepy guy from the back but Shivani was too concerned of her safety to look back. As she reached the women's coach and was all hopeless to find not a single girl or woman there. She was now alone in the first coach of the metro and the creepy guy was heading towards her. She took out her pepper spray and kept her office bag in from of her chest for temporary safety. She remembered of all the rape and molestation cases she has heard over the television and read in the newspapers. She prayed to the god as hard as she could. "Not me! please Gannu ji..Save me!!", pleaded Shivani. The creepy guy was now just 3 feet away from Shivani and was walking in a suspicious way. "Next station is Rajiv Chowk. Doors will open to your left. Please mind the gap.", Shivani heard the announcement as the creepy guy showed her something. Shivani was head over heels to see that he was holding her document holder and now was unable to think anything beyond. "You left it in the apartment", said the creepy guy as the doors opened. The creepy guy turned back and exited  from the door. "Thank you", said Shivani gathering with all the negligible courage left within her but the guy was already out and couldn't hear. As the passengers got into the metro Shivani noticed the guy from the back and a million thoughts hit her mind : "No, not everyone is same. I was wrong. I should learn to trust", thought Shivani as she noticed the tall guy with a strong physique and wide shoulders which was due to continuous gyming; he was apparently not the creepy guy anymore. She was thankful and sorry at the same time. Also, she was overly-disappointed with the power of media which exaggerates issues too much and portraits men as hungry and reckless vultures. She sighed a sense of relief as she came out of all the drama and went over to sit on the seat next to her and looked at the tall guy again as he went away and the metro proceeded. "Please stand clear off the doors", announcement came....
