Almost

Info

Almost

We were almost the perfect match for each other. Our hands almost looked akin to an exquisite piece of art, as fingers intertwined. Our face almost making a well-crafted poetry, when drawn towards each other.

For a split second, we had been attracted like the opposite poles of a magnet: enthralled, in awe of each other.

I had almost touched your heart.Cared for you in ways unspeakable.

We had almost laughed together as we held hands; that night, under the bridge overlooking the sea. I almost asked you to marry me after the unstoppable orgasm ended.

Well, I had almost believed we were meant to be.

We had almost planned to watch the rain together, from the window pane. Or me brewing your coffee in the morning, drinking sweet wine at night. We had almost thought of spending lazy or occupied days.

Promised to make love in ways innumerable.

I believed we could make it together until I realized I was an almost to you. Almost someone with feelings that carry no name.

Because He Was So Gentle.

He had a gentle way. A gentle way of brushing away strands of hair Lying on my forehead.
