It was dark. The rain is pouring and the wind is entering the four-cornered window. The curtain moves back and forth and the thunder is striking sharply. The desk lamp is the only thing alive inside that room.
The girl, sitting beside her queen-sized bed, with her knees between her arms and a frightened look painted all over her face, is overthinking again.
She murmurs every word she can, hoping that any one could hear her cries. She's hoping that somebody will come to her and hug her tight until she fall asleep.
"Mama, Johnny" she said between her sobs. But no one's coming. She's all alone.
"Please come here. I need you." She added.
But no one came. Nobody can hear her.
The rain poured heavier and the thunder sharper. She wants to scream but her voice seems so scared to come out. All she can do is to cry.
A loud thud came from the other side of the door. Someone's coming for her. She'll be safe, she thought. At last.
The doorknob turns and a short click followed. She begin to smile and wait for that person enter her room and hug her tight.
A girl in a white blouse and white pencil skirt walks to her direction, smiling while carrying a tray. She didn't smile back. Instead, she crawl back to her bed and gets frighten. Much frighten.
"Don't worry, princess. It's just for you to sleep."
The girl injects something to her while carefully bringing her back to bed. Arranged her blanket and kissed her goodnight.
