Am I insomniac or Nocturnal?

Insomniac :

Noun

1. A person who is regularly unable to sleep at night.

Nocturnal :

Adjective

1. Occurring, active at night.

There's not a lot of difference between the two words, is there? Well, one is a lifestyle and other is affliction. One in three people has some form of insomnia. Other two are probably sound asleep instead of reading this right now. I'm just gonna to talk about what an voluntary insomniac loses. Also, This is a prompt so due to lack of time any reader has to excuse me of all types of blunders  you come across. Thank you. Y'all the best!.

Dreams.

An insomniac loses Dreams. Nu uh, not the cliché meaning we've all used to represent ambitions and Goals. Simple, original meaning of a Dream. Dreams are series of thoughts, sensations experienced during sleep. Yeah, let's take a second to discuss this point. Who actually dreams about their aims and ambitions anymore??? If there's anyone who can positively say yes then I feel happy for you. Your type is rare and one who have clarity of mind.

You see, we spend nearly 30% (in some cases it easily exceeds 50%-60% too) of our lives entering this state of mind that has been so often seen, we barely recognise the implications. Babies can't express, youth don't remember or comprehend, Elderly don't care. What if i told there are more than one theory that Dreams are your personal wormholes across the time and space to connect with something that probably could be You from other life?! We all know we don't remember how the time flows when we enter deep sleep. And we all know, human brain is as vast as earth's oceans. 95% of its secrets are undiscovered.

Insomnia sometimes turns into much more than a condition. It becomes addiction. It becomes a necessity, to find comfort in the quiet and cold of the night, to dislike and finally abhor the sunlight and day time. But is Insomnia really that bad?? I mean we technically just need sleep. Night time is the best but it isn't the only prescribed time. Einstein slept for 4 hours a week. Da vinci conditioned himself to take a nap of 20 minutes every 4 hours. My personal Idol, Elon Musk works for minimum of 110/120 hours a week. Maybe insomnia works out for some.

Me? I'm part nocturnal creature. As much I love breathing in the fresh scent of the morning air mingled with greenery and watch the sky get lit, I also enjoy the unnatural quiet at night. I learnt a theory from my favorite superhero Batman about conditioning to believe to have slept well to acquire real body rest. Realised it is nothing but a deep form of meditation. A meditation I learnt from trying to connect with the supernaturals I believe in. Along with music. (Yes, music! I can talk about the notes and melodies for days but let's stick with sleepless for now) And gradually, I've become part nocturnal. I'm aware at night and awake at day. So what am I? Can you call me a insomniac? Am I credible enough to believe what I just said? Stick around to read more where I base my theories on the characters and stories I create shortly!
