I honestly don’t remember anything that had happened when we were kids. My memories with you are vague, almost invisible, but I know that they’re here—deep inside our hearts and minds.
But I want you to know that over the years that I’ve been watching you, I have never seen you so happy and contented like that. Not until he came. When you are with him, I can’t help but to secretly smile because you seem so protected and secured.
Being your younger sister, I’ve known some—if not all—of your exes. Varsity captains, hunky junky models, good guys, or even assholes. Name it. I became a bit familiar to each one whenever you tell stories about them. And I am so grateful that all of those relationships failed and didn’t work. *laughs*
I know that there are no love stories that are very much alike, but I hope I could find a love like that.
Your journey with him was not easy. In fact, it was like a crazy rollercoaster ride! You went through so many loops and hoops. So many ups and downs. Twist and turns. But I am so glad that both of you made a good team and managed to endure and finish that messy ride—together.
I’ve never told you this before.
Now, let me say this with the loudest voice I can.
I am so happy for you.
I hope you know that.
I can’t find the right words to make you comprehend how happy I am knowing that there is this another person who loves you as much as I do.
Both of us dreams to marry a man exactly like Dad, and I’m glad you already found yours.
I hope I find that, too. When the right time comes.
I hope to find someone who never leaves.
Who will choose me over and over again.
I hope to find a love that gives you one reason to stay, even there are already million reasons to walk away.
A love who eases every worry because you know that you’ll be standing next to each other no matter what happens.
A love that reminds you that whatever it is that you are going through, you are not going through it alone because you got each other’s back.
A love that gives you something to want to come back to.
A love that makes you slow down your car’s speed, because you know that there is someone waiting for you to come home.
A love that beats up the terrible past and replaces it with so much joy and happiness.
A love that erases and drowns every fear that you have.
A love that accepts all your flaws, imperfections, and short-comings.
A love that saves and holds when you feel like the whole world is against you.
A love that kisses and wipes your tears away.
A love that makes you look forward for endless tomorrows.
A love that conquers all.
A love so selfless.
So brave.
So genuine.
And everlasting.
A love that feels like coming home.
I hope I could find that, too. Like you did.
Again, I am so happy for you.
I love you!
Always,
Your Little Sister
