An unheard voice

Puking of my mother, gave a sign
Happiness escalated in the whole family
Everyone congratulated, relatives showed by
Hoping for something precious,
The glittering lamp of the house, the maker, the earner,

Everyone was blind in their own fantasies
No one even bothered to look at the other half probability
It was me
I, unaware of the outside world, protected by my mother's love
Was hoping for a future, a desire to see the outside world
Holding the finger of my father, taking little steps, sleeping in the lap of my mother, being pampered by grandparents

The very thought of living in the outside world excited me, and gave me fear too
But I thought my father would support me, my mother would love me...And I don't care about the world

But one day, I heard the doctor saying something to my father, I don't know what was that
But the next moment I could analyze what he said
The only chord connecting me to my mother was no longer attached to her
I was separated, discarded cause....I am a girl
My dreams, aspirations, all shattered
My questions, all unanswered
My voice, unheard
