Apps to Boost Your Instagram Feed: The Best Photo Editing Apps

Best Instagram photo editing apps? Instagram is more popular than ever before, and excellent photo editing has become essential for making your profile stand out.

While any photographer will likely spend hours researching the best camera models, it's also useful to be aware of the high-quality mobile apps that can be used to edit images while on the road.

Here are the top photo editing apps we've discovered to help you improve your Instagram feed...

Snapseed (Android & iOS)

Snapseed is, without a doubt, my personal favourite and go-to programme for all of my photographic adjustments. Snapseed, which is available on both iOS and Android, provides professional-level photo editing with a user-friendly interface that doesn't sacrifice capability.

With dozens of tools to enhance and edit your photographs, as well as all of the typical adjustable settings from brightness to highlights, this programme is a must-have. Snapseed also has powerful brush capabilities for fine-tuning certain portions of your images. Snapseed can help you saturate those red sneakers or improve the details in those towers. You may completely change the look of your photos and give them a professional look. A variety of filters, lens blur, HDR, and healing options are also available.

Snapseed is a mobile picture editing tool that is my personal favourite for tweaking photos before uploading them to Instagram, and it's completely free!

VSCO (Android & iOS)

VSCO is a tremendously popular photo editing software among Instagram users, but it's more than that: it's a community for photographers to interact and create. Simply searching #VSCO on Instagram will reveal the massive community of photographers and casual users that use VSCO on a daily basis, demonstrating the app's popularity.

VSCO has all of the features you'd expect from a good picture editing programme, like the ability to alter saturation, highlights, temperature, and vignette, among other things. VSCO also has a built-in camera with extensive capabilities that allows you to capture the perfect photo, edit it, and save it without ever leaving the app, earning it an A for convenience. VSCO also has a lot of filters, with the possibility to buy filter packs with different styles and tones. This is a popular feature among VSCO users.

VSCO provides a one-of-a-kind user experience, combining the creative energy of photography with a clean interface and access to a large community of photographers with whom to interact and collaborate. For anyone looking to take their Instagram to the next level, this book is a must-read.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom (Android & iOS)

Adobe's photography software suite has established itself as one of the best on the market throughout time, and is a must-have for many professional photographers. It's no surprise, then, that Adobe has a mobile app on the list.

This entry on our list is perhaps more suited to individuals who have a strong passion for photography and are looking for a mobile editing app with extensive editing capabilities. Adobe Photoshop Lightroom is a lightweight version of the desktop edition of Adobe Photoshop, allowing you to actually transform ordinary mobile photographs into amazing works of art. The programme has a plethora of tools that allow you to alter practically every aspect of an image, as well as preset filters. The app also includes a built-in camera with a pro mode that allows you to manage shutter speed, white balance, and ISO. The Creative Cloud Photography plan, which is effectively a monthly subscription with Adobe, provides benefits such as access to your material from anywhere, sync photo modifications across all platforms, Photoshop CC, and much more, is one of the distinctive aspects of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.

The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom programme is a must-have for anyone who is serious about photography or who wants to learn more about photo processing. You may learn new skills and approaches to improve your photography just by playing around with the programme for a few hours.

Instasize (Android & iOS)

Do you consider yourself a social creative who uses Instagram as one of your primary means of self-expression? Instasize is the app for you, and it's available for iOS and Android. It's a multifunctional photo and video editor with all the essential elements for creating a superb Instagram post from the ground up.

Post-processing features include filters and setting sliders, as well as text and borders for final finishing. It also includes a collection of beauty tools for fast enhancing personal photos and selfies before uploading.

In addition, the platform is updated on a regular basis, bringing fresh material centred around seasons, regions, and moods. This makes it easy to find the pegs you want for users who wish to achieve their desired appearance. All of its fundamental tools are accessible whether you're editing a photo or a video, making it convenient to use when you need to get something done quickly. Instasize is ideal for on-the-go creatives because of its convenience.

Afterlight (Android, iOS & Windows 10)

Afterlight, the only premium app on our list, more than pays for itself. The app's quality and simplicity make it a pleasure to use, and its functionality is second to none. Afterlight includes all of the normal editing features you'd expect from a high-end programme, such as Saturation, Contrast, Exposure, and even RBG Shadow Tones, but that's not all.

Afterlight shines brightly (no pun intended!) When it comes to filters, the app has hundreds upon dozens to choose from, each with a unique aesthetic appeal not seen on Instagram. You can stack filters and add a variety of frames. This, paired with the precise editing tools and the ability to export shots at high resolution, can result in some truly stunning images. The textured filters, particularly the light leaks, are one of my favourite elements of Afterlight. The filters are of excellent quality, and when used on the proper photo, they may make light flares appear natural. Every filter and effect in Afterlight may be tweaked to your heart's content, giving you complete control over the final result.

Afterlight is well worth the $0.99 app store price if you want your Instagram photos to stand out from the crowd.
