Battling his Inner Demons

I can go on and on about how the songs they play at work remind me of you. And how there isnt a place in this little town that cant be avoided without our old memories lingering in the background. 

How I hide behind my phone sometimes in an uncomfortable situation to seem like im texting you when in reality there is no one on the other side.

But you still wont be convinced.

I face all these sad encounters everyday without you. 

Im stuck in an melancholic state but you still question me. 

You have the escape ive always wanted. You can create a new chapter for yourself to start from scratch. You can do and be whoever you want.

But you still choose to curse me.

Just stop already.

Do not dwell on my existence. 

Do not resent me. 

I am done being trapped in your words.
