Please don't make me sad before I go to bed,
I have no trouble falling asleep,
I sleep like a log that's dead.
My dreams are so vivid,
I get drawn like a magnet,
My imagination has no bounds,
I keep swirling in a vortex.
Sometimes you banish me away,
Sometimes I scream at my mother,
Sometimes I'm just so scared,
My nightmares make me shudder.
Before I close my eyes, I drown in anxiety,
For a minute I get overwhelmed by my massive self pity,
Questioning each and every reason for my measly existence,
That's why I am begging for my emotional pittance.
It lingers next day, and the day after that,
I wear a veil of silence, my mind is difficult to combat,
Don't take it otherwise, I am not in a mood that's red,
Please Just don't make me sad, before I go to bed.
