The sound of hope mixed with melancholy,
Fits both beginnings and goodbyes,
I listened to the bittersweet Jazz,
In my room with closed eyes.
The Sun and the Moon are lovers I think,
The true guardians of the sky.
They seldom meet, they know they can't,
Giving their all to make our world survive.
He is angry and she is calm,
He gives her his light and keeps her warm,
She listens to him and soothes his mind,
They both truly are one of a kind.
She gets so sad, with her one half dim,
Sometimes she can't leave the bed and then the night is grim.
The Sun suffers too, and the clouds gather,
He doesn't come out and the rain splatter.
In a rare randevous he said to her,
"Remember - we are under the same sky,
You're doing your share and I'm doing mine,
We may be forever here, trying our best,
We'll spend lifetimes together, forget about the rest."
And so I opened my eyes - now wet,
Listening to Jazz, thinking of when me first met.
