Before it all ends

I heard that the world is ending. The smell of dynamite lingering under our noses. The seemingly ceaseless attempts of nature's wrath. The ruination of the remaining hope for humanity. All of these proceedings may eventually happen in one signaled go from the almighty deities .

But before we get into the barbaric settings; let's go on a date. Why say no when the last grains of sand are slowly slipping into the bottom part of the hourglass. You've been hiding your feelings for so long and I'm not planning to keep mine in the dark any longer.

Let's have as much rice as we want before they ban it out from restaurants completely. Let's order bottomless iced teas, drain them in one go and then drown in our own laughter. Let's go around the town plaza and call it our own castle -- made up of pillars from our hands and our fingers, slowly intertwining to form stronger obelisks, stitched with stubborn trust and cheap-ass humor. Let's stay up late; watch the stars yawn at the rise of the sun and learn the art of letting go with how the moon parts selflessly with the night sky. Let's dance under the rain, learn to dance despite the heartbreak, heal even in the absence of warmth, love under the grayest of days. Let's discover together that we need only ourselves to find the most genuine of happiness within us. 

So, I'll have to ask you again. Do you want to go out on a date with me? No, actually, scratch that. The world won't even give us the time to choose. So, let's go have our date. No more hesitation, let's just go.
