With the season of weddings gearing up, you find your Facebook wall full of pictures of your friends attending weddings in their best traditional attires.
Those mirror photos of boys showing their perfectly toned bodies.
Those selfies of girls showing their favourite lipstick and beautiful earrings.
You will obviously have a crush seeing some photos… Ufffff. Thanks to the Love option on Facebook that you can show that you not only like a photo but fell for the person in it. That too, without the other one getting offended.
Amidst this scrolling down on the Facebook wall you are reminded that your best friend is getting married. And the process of thinking gets started.
You have to look your best, go on shopping, buy latest and the most suitable clothes for you. Afterall you should look like the best friend and not a colleague who is just attending the wedding for a mere formality. Not Only clothes and accessories, but you also have to think about your looks. Your hairstyle should be the best one but your friends will always call it wierd. Your skin should be glowing and flawless because part of the spotlight will be on you as well.
The excitement seems to reach the next level and you never bother to look at your budget.
Next is choosing a gift. Oh God! Again a big thing. How to get a perfect and memorable gift! You keep thinking and even come across some of the weirdest ideas because only you know how crazy your bestie is. Well this is a long and difficult process and goes on for long but ultimately you are happy with what you decide.
Next is the strange feeling that is bound to come. That you won’t be able to talk to each other at any time, your outings and parties would be somewhat less, your madness may be restricted a bit and God bless the poor soul who is going to tolerate this crazy creature. To avoid this feeling you turn your fun mode on and start using those typical Indian words “Bhabhi” or “Jiju” to tease your friend in every line you speak and also those emotional blackmailing lines which we have grown up listening in Bollywood movies.
This is the phase you enjoy a lot and have the Maximum chances of teasing your bestie because the bride or the groom is expected to remain quiet at the ceremonies and so that poor victim of your jokes cannot respond to you. And how can anyone forget dance… So much fun. No one wants to miss their best friend’s wedding and can make any number of excuses to take leave from office.
This is the phase you are crazily waiting for because this is the time when you are on your madness is at its peak and your friend has to sit silently trying to control their laughter.
