Beyond the veil

How much would you pay?

To see what is not there?

How much can you really give?

To see beyond the veil…?

Would you pay the price, the fare

To go to a place nowhere

Where Gods sleep and demons prey

To the elder gods' lair?

To cross beyond, where none has gone before,

To walk the world across the umbra of souls.

Would you chant the words?

Would you walk across?

What will you sacrifice… To walk above the gods?

Family, friends or foes?

Would you give your own blood?

In despair and madness of the unknown…

Would you give the one you love?

To what demon would you sell…

Your soul at a price unfair,

To have a glance or even a glimpse

At what lies beyond the veil?

That what shifts and blends, that what twirls and bends, that what to life gives shapes, an energy with no end.

That what gives good, what sees us as forlorn, of all hope to give, to the children yet unborn.

That what gives all evil, which burns the flesh and souls, of all now gone, innocents and villains.

The dark, the light, where courage is with fright,

Where up is more of down, where hope brings despair, beyond the 9th's mouth… Where no evil dares to play…

What lies beyond the universe, where imagination fails, that escapes the scope of words not yet articulate.

The eye that all sees, where the one God is afraid, that thing beyond belief, to which universes are specks.

No dimension has yet fathomed, the silhouette of the great enemy, that which breathes destruction, for its thought brings catastrophe.

Beyond thoughts and words, far beyond God's reach, lies the thing untold, the one elder gods fear. The thing that sees you… in your darkest dreams.

In utter nothingness all over, you grasp the vast idea, behind the whole creation, behind mythic utopia, lies what is beyond, imagination's cornucopia.

Dementia soon will follow, those who peak and wail, crazies all around us, who've seen beyond the veil…
