Window Breath

Run under the covers!

I run very fast

Ghosts behind me

Safe at last!

It's funny to play

With imaginary friends

Things that are not there

I'm bored so I want to play

I'm also hungry

I sneak to the kitchen

I grab a cookie

And run like a kitten

Mom and dad should come back soon

It's been HOURS, I'm starting to get bored

I go to my sister's room

She's not there, I'll try to scare her now

Quietly on tiptoe

She's not gonna know

I'm very close to get her

I'll laugh so much at her

Boo! I scare her in the bathroom

So fast she starts to cry

Oh man I'm gonna get it

I want to calm her, I try

The more I talk the more she cries

I didn't want to make her cry

I just wanted a little mischief

But she cries and doesn't hear me

I say I'm sorry, I apologize

She says I miss you Thomas

I say it's fine

I'll just go to my bed for a while

I'm so bored, I tried to play

But the cat ran, it was SO scared

He's so dumb, he jumped out the window pane

I get up there, to check for him

The last thing I want is to have him hurt

He's okay, he landed on good earth

I pout, so bored

I sigh against the glass

I breathe, so weird

One more time, not so fast

Haha that's awesome

I breathe against the window and it doesn't get wet

I empty my lungs but get no real breath

Must be the window or it's a funny day

I'm so bored from waiting,

I'll just go to sleep

When mom and dad come home

Maybe they can sing to me.

It's getting cold

I'll just close my eyes

Under the covers

Where the funny skeleton lies.
