Bittersweet moments(a poem)

I was in a hurry

I quickly wore my shoes

Put my hair in a bun

And I was out the door

It has been 3 years

But I still get da same butterflies

In my stomach

Before seeing you

I was giddy with excitement 

Then I saw you

My heart beating wildly 

My mind a mess

You were right there

Smiling at me 

We started walking

We were talking

About nothing in particular 

Being silly and childish

Laughing and smiling

Being you and me

In a world of our own

With no worries and issues

This was the best time of the day

But somewhere 

I knew it wouldn't last

I knew we had to go our separate ways 

Soon it was time to go

You walked me home

I didn't want to leave

I wanted more time

Grasping on to each second 

That was  flying past me

This was the hardest part

Reluctantly we said bye

And started walking away

Still glancing back at each other

These were the Bittersweet moments

That made us laugh 

That made us cry

The moments that made us...
