Title: Black
Black is just a colour
But to her it wasn't
It was a price paid for the sins she didn't commit
It was a pain she had to live with
She's being called awful names
Forced to bear unbearable pains
She was rubbed in the mud
As her head bowed in shame
Some say it's Tradition
But to her, it felt like a punishment
A punishment, imposed on her to face public damnation
She couldn't hold her tears no more as she sank in oblivion
She could hear the cries of her children from afar
For the pain of losing her companion tore her apart
She was left alone without no comfort
Left with no love
Was lost in silence
As she was left alone to face the struggles of the world
She felt insecure and lost
Her name was a blessing
But now labelled a curse
For all she could feel were sorrows
This is a story of a widow
