Do you wonder like I do?
Why is being black such a taboo?
Why does the colour of my skin determine,
What should equally be yours and equally be mine?
Don't we all bleed the same,
By the crimson red that flows through our vein,
Two eyes,two ears,one mouth,one nose,
Can't seem to find how the difference arose,
For we all are children of this wonderful earth,
Then why this deprivation, why this dearth?
What about the people who have black in their heart,
Looking so fair and playing their part,
With malice and spite deep within,
Still what makes their skin colour win?
Slaves we are no more, a lot has happened since then,
Judge us by our strength, judge us by our pen,
See the light that shines through our soul,
End this racism, make us feel whole..
