Brushless motors utilize no brushes at all (the clue is in their name!). With brushed motors, the electric current reaches the rotor coils via a mechanical commutator, causing the coil to rotate. With BLDC motors however, stationary coils are connected to a stator and therefore don't rotate at all. Instead, they feature a permanent magnet that rotates instead of the coil.
The rotations of a BLDC motor are produced by changing the direction of the magnetic fields generated by the coil, and the movement can be manipulated by adjusting the flow and intensity of the electric current.
