Growing up, I always hear the cliché saying "Life is a choice." But then, I realized that is trueㅡno matter how hackneyed it may sound. That's why I cringe every time people insists that "they don't have a choice". Nope. You always have a choice. Life offers infinite choices, brave heart. Every day, we get to choose. From the little things like what lipstick color to wear for today up to the life-changing decision like what career to pursue for the future.
Well, honestly, I am a firm believer of kismet... destiny... fate... or whatever force of the universe that is responsible for what is happening in our lives. But then, these forces aren't the only ones who get to dictate what would happen. Wanna know who's responsible? You. Yes, you. Because you are the one who gets to choose. Who gets to decide. In everything.
What you are today is the product of the decisions you've made yesterday. Keep in mind that when you made a choice, you have to be prepared to face its consequences. Whether it is a good or a bad decision.
Everything is up to you.
It is your choice to stay or to let go.
To continue or to stop.
To speak or to keep quiet.
To be genuinely happy or to get stuck on that labyrinth of suffering.
Once again, it all depends upon you.
Because the decisions you make decides for you.
The choices you make makes you.
