I asked you out for coffee
And you said yes
You walked woke from the bed look
I dressed to impress
Neither us had coffee
You had green tea with honey
It matched your sweet words
Soon the shining through sun nectar
Got heavy, coating
and suffocating
I tapped my boots against the floor
And run my hands through my hair,
Nervous habit and nothing more
I know you noticed,
your brain processing
But you only write about the things you care for
Neither of us had the patience
I saw you and rushed away, scared
You saw me and looked away without a care
It was not the same
And what a shame
Neither of us had the guts to say goodbye
Your ghost was standing right infront of me
I'm not sure what summoned you here
All my rage and guilt is brimming on my tongue
Yet all my screams are too silent for you to hear
Because neither of us had the voice to utter the words
So we'll just draw apologies by
Bleeding on paper
To make this better
And say sorry and bye
Through crumbled notebook letters
